Position: Warehouse Assistant Manager

Job Description

The Warehouse Assistant Manager will assist in managing the company’s warehouse operations and support the overall logistics and distribution activities. The role will oversee daily warehouse activities, manpower coordination, inventory control and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Warehouse Manager in managing daily warehouse operations.
• Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff and daily work assignments.
• Coordinate receiving, unloading, sorting, packing, storage and dispatch of goods.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock records.
• Coordinate the movement of goods between warehouse, customers and delivery teams.
• Plan manpower and allocate resources according to daily operational requirements.
• Monitor warehouse productivity and ensure work is completed according to schedules.
• Coordinate with drivers, logistics teams, customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Handle stock discrepancies, damaged goods, returns and operational issues.
• Maintain proper warehouse organisation, housekeeping and workplace safety.
• Assist with implementing warehouse procedures and improving operational efficiency.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational reports.
• Monitor warehouse equipment, materials and supplies.
• Assist management with logistics planning and operational projects.
• Support the company’s expansion into additional services, including painting and related service activities, where required.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, Business or a related field preferred.
• Relevant experience in warehouse, logistics or distribution operations.
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic warehouse management systems.
• Able to work independently and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
