About the role

We are seeking a enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join the team at M Gadget Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Seri Kembangan, Selangor. As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales within our retail environment. You will be the face of our brand, helping customers find the products they need whilst creating a positive shopping experience that keeps them coming back.

What you'll be doing

1. Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs

2. Provide product information and recommendations based on customer requirements

3. Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system

4. Handle cash and card payments, ensuring all transactions are completed correctly

5. Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked retail environment

6. Restock shelves and displays with merchandise in an appealing manner

7. Answer customer inquiries about products, pricing and store policies

8. Identify and escalate customer complaints or issues to management

9. Participate in promotional activities and campaigns to increase sales

10. Follow company policies and procedures at all times

What we're looking for

1. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour

2. Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written

3. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment

4. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

5. Basic numeracy skills and accuracy in handling cash transactions

6. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise

7. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends as required

8. Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential

9. Enthusiasm for learning about products and staying up-to-date with industry trends

10. Positive attitude and willingness to support team members
