JOB REQUIREMENTS :

1. To ensure all maintenance job request is promptly attended to and repairs successfully carried out by the maintenance team in the shortest possible time (E-maintenance system, OA workflow) by providing supervision and guidance to the maintenance crew. (Especially on hydraulics, pneumatics, belt, conveyor belt repair/change, bearings replacement, air compressors, including lubricant change.
2. Plan the daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance task/job for the maintenance team and ensuring it is carried out correctly and on time.
3. To review and improve the existing Preventive Maintenance system.
4. Check existing maintenance spare parts listing and ensure basic minimum stock of the common items so that we can reduce downtime due to lack of spare parts and not overstock on machinery spares.
5. Ensure daily gas leak monitoring is carried out without fail and done correctly.
6. Ensure contractor is doing their job according to the job which has been awarded to them, especially those which needs inspection (air receivers, spray booth, air compressors etc) by the government authorities. (Monitor and follow up the contractor’s job when do service and repairs to the forklifts and factory buildings and facilities).
7. Implement cost cutting programs to reduce maintenance costs. Eg - Doing more maintenance jobs we instead of awarding it to contractors, finding alternative brands of spare parts which could be more cost effective thereby achieving savings in costs and increasing the running hours of the machine.
8. Train the maintenance team to improve their skills.
9. Improve the line CPM to improve the machine efficiency.
10. Reduce the number of breakdown and machine downtime of each machine by studying the root cause of the breakdown and coming out with better ways to do a repair.
11. Work hand in hand with production and QC department to reduce rejects, wastage costs and improve productivity. e.g. – Reduce the amount of chemicals and time needed for an SKU change after analysing the existing work process.
12. Ensure all the machinery in the plant are checked and in good working condition and do daily checks and service, so that machines are ready to always run, even with or without any notice. This is to avoid the common perception that machine will not be able to run immediately after a prolonged idle.
13. To daily record on a Logbook the maintenance work carried out and submit once every two weeks to the MM/AFM/FM.
14. Assist the Head of Maintenance Department by carrying out the job/task assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience for Assistant Manager; 5–10 years for Manager role.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Experience in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Proven experience in managing maintenance teams and contractors.
• Familiarity with PLC systems, HVAC systems, or production machinery is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of safety standards, compliance, and audit requirements (e.g., ISO).
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
