Role Description

The Subsurface G&G Technical Sales role is a contract full-time, on-site position based in Kuala Lumpur. The individual in this role will identify and pursue business opportunities for subsurface geoscience and reservoir-related solutions, including software, consultancy and training services. Daily tasks include engaging with existing and potential clients, conducting technical presentations and demonstrations, and translating customer subsurface and G&G requirements into tailored solutions. The role involves preparing proposals, coordinating with technical teams to provide pre- and post-sales support, and ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction. The individual will also gather market intelligence, contribute to sales strategies, and maintain accurate sales and activity reporting.

Qualifications

• Relevant academic background in Geoscience, Geology, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline is required (minimum Bachelor's Degree level)
• Strong Technical Sales and Sales skills, with experience in Oil & Gas or subsurface G&G solutions.
• Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to present complex technical concepts in a clear, accessible manner.
• Ability to provide effective Technical Support, working closely with technical teams and clients to resolve issues and optimize solutions.
• Customer Service mindset, with a focus on building long-term relationships and delivering reliable, responsive support.
• Familiarity with subsurface interpretation, reservoir characterization, and related software tools is an advantage.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
• Willingness to travel within Malaysia and the Southeast Asia, if required.
• Assist with response for RFP/RFQ/RFI/MS in a timely manner and contribute to refining technical responses working with principal companies as required
• Experienced in preparing proposals and negotiating contracts will be an added advantage
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management/direct supervisor when required
• Possess a valid driver's license & own transport. Willing to work and travel outstation as and when necessary.
