Job Summary

We are looking for a Technician cum Parts Officer to join our After Sales team. This position covers two main functions: Automotive Technician and Parts Operations.

Technician Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspection, servicing and maintenance according to BYD standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle mechanical and electrical issues.
• Carry out repair and replacement of vehicle components as required.
• Perform basic EV system inspection and troubleshooting.
• Conduct testing after repair to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition.
• Record technical findings, repair work and parts used.
• Maintain proper use and care of workshop tools and equipment.
• Follow all workshop safety procedures and technical guidelines.
• Assist the After Sales team in resolving technical issues when required.

Parts Officer Responsibilities

• Receive, check and organise incoming spare parts.
• Issue spare parts to technicians based on approved Repair Orders (RO).
• Record all parts received, issued, returned and used.
• Maintain proper arrangement and identification of spare parts.
• Monitor stock levels and report low-stock items to the After Sales Manager.
• Assist with regular physical stock counts and inventory checking.
• Monitor unused, damaged, incorrect or excess parts.
• Assist in parts ordering and follow-up on parts availability when required.
• Ensure proper documentation and inventory records are maintained.

Requirements

• Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Automotive or related field.
• Previous experience as an Automotive Technician is preferred.
• Experience in automotive parts handling or inventory management is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of EV vehicles is an advantage.
• Possess a valid Class D driving licence.
• Responsible, organized and detail-oriented.
• Willing to learn and attend technical training.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: RM1,900.00 - RM2,400.00 per month
