The responsibilities of this role are:
Lead the project team to ensure project delivery is completed according to schedule.
Execute projects in accordance with the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Action) cycle and ensure customer requirements are met.
Develop the project construction scheme covering quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
Develop and manage the master schedule, ISO Quality Plan, OSHA Safety Plan, risk mitigation plan, project budget, and ensure a clear understanding of contract conditions and project requirements.
Build and maintain good working relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Organise site work schedules with customers through effective staff management and control of suppliers and subcontractors.
Manage the master construction schedule, quality, safety, and budget while ensuring compliance with relevant authorities’ codes of practice and client requirements.
Implement approved installation methods and explore new or improved methods to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Negotiate project variations with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors where required.
Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors on project safety requirements.
Ensure site staff understand the project construction scheme and their respective responsibilities.
Identify areas for staff improvement and provide continuous on-the-job guidance and training, including development of junior staff.
Maintain effective communication within the site organisation and establish clear communication channels among site staff, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Proactively identify and resolve site issues, while motivating site staff to address challenges effectively.
The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma with at least 10 years of relevant experience can be considered.
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, with 5 years of managerial experience
Knowledge of relevant codes of practice
Knowledge of ISO 9000 / 45001 / 14001
Possess Building construction safety supervisor course
Meticulous and responsible
Excellent communication skills
Highly motivated and proactive
Strong on overall coordination and implementation of all disciplines.
Strong in technical scope
Relevant experience in a contractor environment will be preferred.
