Job description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Global Perspectives Teacher to join our dynamic teaching team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, age-appropriate Global Perspectives lessons that develop students’ critical thinking, research, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in a supportive international school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Global Perspectives lessons for primary/secondary school students
• Develop students’ critical thinking, research, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Introduce students to global issues and encourage them to explore different perspectives
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, research activities, and interactive learning activities
• Differentiate instruction to support students with varying abilities
• Assess, record, and report on student progress
• Guide students in conducting research, evaluating sources, and presenting their findings
• Promote open-mindedness, global awareness, and respectful discussion among students
• Integrate technology and digital resources into classroom learning where appropriate
• Participate in school events, co-curricular activities, and professional development
• Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives

Requirements

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Humanities, International Relations, English, or a related field
• Recognised teaching qualification (Diploma in Education, B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience teaching Global Perspectives or a related subject
• Experience teaching the Cambridge Global Perspectives curriculum
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for teaching young learners
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)

Desirable:

• Experience teaching in an international school
• Experience preparing students for Cambridge Global Perspectives assessments
• Familiarity with Cambridge assessment objectives
• Experience integrating technology into classroom learning
• Knowledge of research-based and project-based learning
