Job Responsibilities
Ensure all materials purchased for projects meet quality requirements.
Review material data sheets and specifications to understand technical and quality requirements.
Prepare technical requirements for the procurement of structural and piping materials.
Coordinate with clients, classification societies, and third-party inspection agencies.
Review supplier quality documents, including ITP, MPS, MDS, and other related documents.
Conduct supplier and manufacturer quality audits.
Handle material-related NCRs, concessions, and technical queries.
Review and approve Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and material inspection reports.
Manage material receiving inspections and issue material release notes.
Conduct pre-inspection meetings with suppliers and manufacturers.
Coordinate source inspections at supplier or manufacturer facilities with clients, class representatives, and third-party inspectors.
Monitor material inspection performance and prepare reports for the QA/QC Head of Department.
Job Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience in materials quality management, source inspection, and quality control of structural and piping materials.
Experience working on Oil & Gas EPC projects.
Knowledge of material certification, inspection processes, and quality documentation.
Good communication and coordination skills to work with clients, suppliers, class societies, and third-party inspectors.
Familiar with industry quality standards, codes, and inspection requirements.
