Position: Senior Firewall Engineer

• Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
• Contract: 1-Year Renewable Contract
• Salary: Up to RM 8,000 – RM 12,000 per month
• Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
• Eligibility: Open to Malaysian candidates and expatriates currently residing in Malaysia

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Firewall Engineer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will be responsible for the deployment, implementation, configuration and support of enterprise firewall and network-security infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and maintain enterprise firewall and network-security solutions.
• Perform hands-on implementation and troubleshooting of FortiGate, Palo Alto, Check Point and Cisco ASA firewalls.
• Support Routing & Switching (R&S) deployment and network-security integration.
• Configure and manage firewall policies, security rules, NAT and access controls.
• Monitor firewall performance, troubleshoot connectivity and resolve security-related incidents.
• Support network segmentation and secure connectivity across enterprise environments.
• Work closely with network and infrastructure teams on firewall deployment, migration and optimization activities.
• Maintain security configurations in accordance with organizational standards and operational requirements.
• Support automation and scripting initiatives where applicable.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Firewall / Network Security Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience in enterprise firewall deployment and implementation.
• Experience with one or more of the following firewall technologies:
• FortiGate
• Cisco ASA
• Palo Alto
• Check Point
• Good understanding of Routing & Switching (R&S).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with firewall configuration, policy management and network-security controls.

Good to Have

• Experience with Zscaler Proxy.
• Exposure to other Proxy technologies/tools.
• Automation and scripting experience.
• Working knowledge of Linux.
• Experience automating network-security tasks and operational processes.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
