JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain & Logistics Officer to manage and coordinate our end-to-end supply chain, logistics, shipment, and customs clearance activities. In this role, you will work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, transport providers, Customs authorities, and internal departments to ensure smooth material flow, accurate documentation, and timely deliveries to support company operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supply Chain & Logistics
- Coordinate and monitor inbound and outbound shipments and deliveries.
- Monitor material availability and ensure timely supply to support production and operations.
- Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers, transporters and logistics providers.
- Monitor shipment status, ETA and delivery schedules.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping agents and transport companies.
- Coordinate transportation arrangements and delivery requirements.
- Follow up on delayed, damaged or incomplete deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries and logistics activities.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Warehouse, Production, Sales and Finance on supply chain and logistics matters.
- Monitor inventory movement and assist in preventing stock shortages or excess inventory.
- Prepare regular logistics and supply chain reports.
CUSTOMS & IMPORT/EXPORT:
- Liaise with Customs and relevant authorities regarding import/export activities.
- Coordinate customs clearance and ensure required documentation is complete.
- Prepare and maintain import/export and shipping documentation.
- Handle and follow up on customs duty/tax exemption applications where applicable.
- Liaise with appointed customs agents and freight forwarders on clearance matters.
- Monitor customs clearance status and resolve documentation or clearance issues.
DOCUMENTATION:
Ensure proper preparation and filing of documents, including:
- Purchase Orders
- Delivery Orders
- Commercial Invoices
- Packing Lists
- Bills of Lading / Air Waybills
- Customs documentation
- Import/Export permits and supporting documents
- Delivery and receiving documents
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, shipping or a related field.
- Experience dealing with Customs, freight forwarders and customs agents is an advantage.
- Knowledge of import/export procedures and customs documentation.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems is an advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong follow-up and problem-solving abilities.
- Organized, detail-oriented and able to work independently.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
