Why This Role Matters
This is a
5‑month temporary contract role
supporting data analytics and insights generation across the organisation.
As healthcare becomes increasingly data-driven, the ability to transform data into meaningful insights is critical to improving patient outcomes, operational performance, and resource planning. This role supports the analysis of operational and clinical data to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and risks that inform decision-making at both strategic and operational levels.
Working closely with stakeholders across the hospital, you will help develop data-driven solutions that enhance healthcare delivery, strengthen operational efficiency, and support population health initiatives.
What You Will Drive
1. Operational Data Analytics & Decision Support
Collaborate with stakeholders to address complex operational challenges through evidence-based analysis and data-driven recommendations.
Analyse operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Develop quantitative models and predictive analytics to support planning, forecasting, and decision-making.
Support stakeholders in designing and implementing solutions for efficient data collection, management, and visualisation.
Develop dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights across key domains such as operations, finance, manpower, and safety.
2. Clinical Data Analytics
Develop and maintain clinical datasets to support clinical quality monitoring, care value improvement, and resource planning.
Analyse healthcare data to identify patterns and opportunities for enhancing patient outcomes and service delivery.
Support clinicians and operational teams with data insights to facilitate informed decision-making and quality improvement initiatives.
3. Data Visualisation & Reporting
Design and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that present data in a clear and meaningful way.
Prepare data summaries, presentations, and analytical reports for management and stakeholders.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting and analytics activities.
4. Research, Knowledge Sharing & Collaboration
Contribute to clinical and operational research initiatives through data analysis and reporting support.
Support education and knowledge-sharing efforts related to analytics and data-driven approaches across the department and hospital.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to strengthen analytical capabilities and foster a culture of evidence-based decision-making.
5. Other Responsibilities
Perform additional duties assigned by the Reporting Officer in support of departmental and organisational objectives.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences, Data Science, Statistics, Healthcare Analytics, or a related healthcare discipline.
3–4 years of relevant working experience in data analytics, business intelligence, healthcare analytics, or a similar role.
Experience working with operational and/or clinical datasets is preferred.
Experience supporting healthcare, population health, clinical quality, or operational improvement initiatives will be advantageous.
Technical Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
Proficient in one or more statistical software packages such as SPSS, STATA, SAS, or equivalent analytics tools.
Experience in dashboard development, data visualisation, and reporting solutions is advantageous.
Familiarity with healthcare data systems and databases will be an advantage.
Woodlands Hospital (WH) provides care for the Northern population in Singapore and is designed to ensure seamless transition of care, promote health, and encourage community integration.
Spanning an area covering 7.66 hectares, WH includes an integrated acute and community hospital with a 1,000-bed capacity offering the full range of healthcare services encompassing acute, sub-acute, rehabilitative and transitional care. Provisions are in place to expand to a total of 1,400 beds to meet future needs. Along with other specialist services at the Medical Centre, WH operates the Women’s Health & Specialist Centre and Children’s Clinic for women and children in the North. The premises also house 400 beds in its long-term care facilities and is fully integrated with the 1.5-ha Woodlands Healing Garden.
