Job Description
Instamedia is a Malaysia Digital (MD) status company that has delivered over 1,000 brand activations and events since 2012. Our IMX Engine powers the interactive games, AR and VR experiences behind many of them. We're hiring a full-time Unity Developer to build these experiences, from quick-turnaround touchscreen games to custom installations with cameras, sensors and body tracking, played by crowds at live events.

We're hiring a full-time Unity Developer to build these experiences, from quick-turnaround touchscreen games to custom installations with cameras, sensors and body tracking, played by crowds at live events.
Key Responsibilities
- Build interactive games and experiences in Unity and C# for touchscreens, kiosks and large displays
- Develop AR and VR experiences for mobile, WebGL and headsets such as Meta Quest, Pico and HoloLens
- Work with a wide range of APIs and SDKs to integrate hardware, including cameras, sensors, body tracking and printers
- Connect experiences to our backend for data capture and QR-based guest journeys
- Optimise builds for reliable, all-day performance on event hardware
- Work with our creative and ops teams from concept and prototype through to on-site deployment
Requirements
- At least 2 to 3 years of professional Unity and C# experience, with shipped projects or a portfolio you can show
- Able to read and work within existing codebases, and write clean, well-organised code that teammates can easily pick up
- Comfortable using AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Codex in your daily workflow, while reviewing and owning the code they produce
- Experience building for Windows or macOS, and ideally WebGL, Android or VR headsets
- Comfortable working with many APIs, SDKs and third-party plugins, and picking up new ones quickly
- Basic web integration experience, such as connecting Unity to REST APIs and web backends, or embedding WebGL builds into web pages
- Able to work with databases such as SQL and MongoDB
- Able to prototype fast and iterate to tight event deadlines
- Bonus: AR experience (AR Foundation, body or face tracking), shaders, or backend basics such as Node.js or Supabase
