Finance Director

We are currently looking for an experienced Finance Director to oversee the finance function and provide strategic financial leadership to the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving financial planning, performance management, business partnering, governance and process improvements, while supporting senior management in achieving business goals and objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Performance Management

• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.

• Provide regular financial analysis, management reporting and insights tosenior management.

• Monitor financial performance against budgets, forecasts and business objectives, identifying key variances and recommending corrective actions.

• Develop and enhance financial dashboards, reporting frameworks and performance indicators to support data-driven decision making.

• Drive profitability analysis, cost management and resource optimisation across the organisation.

Business Partnering & Strategic Finance

• Partner closely with senior management and key business stakeholders to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

• Evaluate business plans, investments, commercial initiatives and financial proposals, providing recommendations on financial implications and risks.

• Translate financial data into actionable business insights and identifyopportunities to improve operational and financial performance.

• Support business transformation, new initiatives and continuous improvement projects from a financial perspective.

Financial Governance & Controls

• Oversee financial governance, internal controls, policies and processes toensure compliance with relevant standards and organisational requirements.

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and management information.

• Review and strengthen financial processes to improve efficiency, transparency and control.

• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders on audit, compliance and other financial matters.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, manage and develop the finance team, providing guidance, coachingand support to build a high-performing function.

• Drive collaboration across finance and other business functions.

• Establish clear priorities, objectives and performance expectations for thefinance team.

• Identify opportunities to enhance finance capabilities, systems and processes.

Job Requirements

• A university degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline. Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CPA or CA would be advantageous.

• At least 12–15 years of relevant finance experience, with substantial experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity.

• Strong experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and business partnering.

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial information into actionable business recommendations.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate financial insights, ideas and proposals clearly.

• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a high degree ofinitiative and independence.

• Team-oriented with strong leadership and people management capabilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
