Job Summary

The Department Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation and well-being of an assigned department within the retail outlet. This includes managing merchandise display, stock control, pricing accuracy, inventory management, and customer service, while ensuring the department meets sales targets set by the Company. The role also involves training and guiding staff on product knowledge and merchandising standards to maintain a high level of operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the overall well-being and operations of the assigned department.
• Monitor and replenish merchandise, ensuring displays meet company standards.
• Understand and implement the planogram set by the Company.
• Apply FIFO (First-In-First-Out) principles and control expired stock.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of products and display areas.
• Monitor and update shelf pricing for all stock items in the department.
• Oversee inventory management for the grocery section, ensuring stock levels align with demand.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
• Achieve sales targets set by the Company.
• Train and coach staff on product knowledge and merchandising/display standards.
• Conduct daily inventory checks and prepare reports.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

• Minimum five (5) years of experience and knowledge in retail.
• Own transport required; willing to be transferred to other outlets.
• Willing to work extra hours as needed.
• Computer literate.
• Able to work retail hours, including shift work, weekends, and public holidays.
• Self-motivated, proactive, with good interpersonal skills; able to multitask and work well under pressure.

Pay: RM2,100.00 - RM2,600.00 per month
