Role Overview

We are seeking skilled Software Developers who are adept at using AI tools for rapid prototyping and development. The successful candidates will be instrumental in developing and maintaining ETL connectors using our proprietary Python-based framework, built on Snowflake Native Apps. This role requires a robust understanding of API interactions, data engineering principles, Snowflake development, and a commitment to test-driven development.

Job Type: Contract (12 Months)

Location: Remote (AU/NZ timezone)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL connectors to popular SaaS applications using in-house python-based framework, deployed as Snowflake Native Apps.
• Build and maintain Snowflake Native App logic using Snowpark and Python UDFs/UDTFs.
• Utilize AI tools like Github Copilot and other LLM-based agents to rapidly prototype new connectors, accelerating the development cycle. Importantly, you will have the skills and experience to assess the quality and make adjustments as needed.
• Work with APIs to facilitate data exchange, implementing various authentication methods and ensuring secure communications.
• Manipulate and manage data using Python dataframes and existing third-party python packages.
• Conduct rigorous testing and quality assurance to ensure the reliability and scalability of connectors.
• Quickly adapt to and understand enterprise B2B products to develop effective ETL solutions.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years proven experience in software development, with very solid Python skills.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, ideally including Snowpark and/or Snowflake Native Apps.
• Strong familiarity with data engineering concepts and frameworks.
• Experience with API interactions and protocols.
• Knowledge of test-driven development practices.
• Good command of English, written and spoken, to work closely with an AU/NZ based team.
• Strong soft skills alongside strong hard skills. Excellent problem-solving ability and capacity to work independently.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
