About the Role

Toshi Sdn Bhd is looking for a capable and practical Full Stack Software Developer to join our growing technical team.

You will develop and maintain web applications, internal business systems, customer portals, AI integrations, dashboards and workflow automation solutions.

This position is suitable for someone who enjoys building complete solutions, integrating different technologies and solving real business problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain web applications and internal systems

• Develop responsive frontend interfaces and secure backend services

• Build REST APIs, webhooks and third party integrations

• Design and maintain relational databases

• Develop dashboards, reports and workflow management features

• Implement authentication, permissions and role based access control

• Integrate AI, messaging, email and other external services

• Investigate application, database, server and API issues

• Improve the security, reliability and performance of existing applications

• Maintain technical documentation and deployment records

• Use Git for source control and controlled deployment

• Translate business requirements into practical software solutions

• Support applications from initial planning through deployment and ongoing improvement

Core Technical Skills

Candidates should have practical experience in most of the following areas:

• PHP

• JavaScript and TypeScript

• React and Next.js

• HTML and CSS

• REST APIs, JSON, cURL and webhooks

• MariaDB, MySQL or PostgreSQL

• SQL queries, database design and migrations

• Linux server administration

• Nginx, Apache and PHP FPM

• Git and GitHub

• Docker and container based deployment

• Authentication, sessions and role based access control

• Secure management of API keys, access tokens and customer information

• Application logging, debugging and performance troubleshooting

Additional Skills That Will Be an Advantage

• AI and conversational AI applications

• LLM APIs and prompt management

• Speech to text and text to speech services

• Real time applications and WebSocket connections

• WhatsApp Cloud API and email integrations

• n8n or other workflow automation platforms

• Microsoft or Google single sign on

• Multi factor authentication

• Cloud infrastructure, backups and monitoring

• Mobile friendly web applications

• Camera integration and secure file uploads

• Yii, ExtJS or other PHP frameworks

• PrestaShop or other ecommerce platforms

• AWS or other cloud platforms

What We Are Looking For

• At least two years of relevant software development experience

• Good understanding of the complete application development lifecycle

• Ability to investigate problems independently and propose practical solutions

• Comfortable working with both new and existing systems

• Able to understand, maintain and improve unfamiliar code

• Careful when working with production systems and customer data

• Good documentation, reporting and communication skills

• Willingness to learn new technologies

• Able to balance development speed, security and maintainability

• Comfortable managing several interconnected applications and integrations

Applicants are not expected to be experts in every technology listed. Strong full stack fundamentals, practical problem solving skills and the ability to learn unfamiliar systems are more important.

Work Eligibility

This position is open only to Malaysian citizens or candidates who already hold a valid permit authorising them to work in Malaysia.
