Production Junior Leader / Production Leader / Senior Production Leader

Job Summary

We are looking for responsible and experienced Production Junior Leaders / Production Leaders / Senior Production Leaders to support and supervise daily production activities.

The successful candidate will coordinate manpower, machines, tooling, materials and production activities to ensure production targets, delivery schedules and quality requirements are achieved.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing and coordinating daily production activities to achieve production targets, quality objectives and delivery schedules.
• Monitor daily production progress, workflow, manpower allocation, machine utilization, tooling and material availability.
• Arrange and monitor manpower according to the daily production plan and workload.
• Monitor employee attendance, discipline and work performance within the production department.
• Lead and maintain 5S activities to ensure a clean, safe and organized working environment.
• Monitor machine conditions and assist with troubleshooting, minor repairs and improvement activities when production or quality issues occur.
• Coordinate new tooling, cutters, fixtures and tooling modifications required for production.
• Ensure daily machine check sheets and relevant production records are properly completed and updated.
• Monitor non-conforming parts and coordinate repair, rework, sorting or other corrective actions when required.
• Perform or assist with inspection of parts to ensure products meet drawing specifications and customer quality requirements.
• Work closely with QC and other departments regarding quality issues, non-conformities and corrective actions.
• Train, guide and support production operators on machine operation, inspection requirements, work instructions, quality requirements and proper working methods.
• Ensure measuring instruments, tools, cutters and production equipment are properly used, maintained and returned to their designated locations after use.
• Identify production problems and promptly report machine breakdowns, quality issues, material shortages or production delays to the Supervisor/Management.
• Ensure operators follow approved drawings, process flow, work instructions and production requirements.
• Monitor production efficiency and continuously support improvements in productivity, quality, safety and cost control.
• Ensure production activities comply with company safety, quality and operational procedures.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.

Minimum Qualification

• SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Machining or equivalent.
• Candidates with relevant hands-on manufacturing experience may also be considered.

Experience

Junior Leader

• 1–2 years of relevant manufacturing/production experience.
• Candidates with good technical knowledge and leadership potential are encouraged to apply.

Leader

• 2–4 years of relevant production/manufacturing experience.
• Previous experience in leading operators or a small production team is preferred.

Senior Leader

• Minimum 4–5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Strong experience in production coordination, manpower management and troubleshooting is preferred.

Skills & Requirements

• Experience in CNC machining / precision manufacturing will be an added advantage.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Basic knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer and Height Gauge.
• Basic knowledge of CNC Milling and/or CNC Turning is an advantage.
• Good understanding of production processes, tooling and quality requirements.
• Able to coordinate manpower and monitor daily production schedules.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Responsible, disciplined and able to work under production deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to work overtime when required.
• Able to work independently and lead production operators.
