Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on customer equipment and systems according to established procedures and service schedules
Diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize equipment downtime
Install, configure, and commission equipment at customer sites in compliance with safety standards and technical specifications
Conduct routine inspections and safety checks to identify and address potential issues
Maintain accurate records of service activities, maintenance work, and technical findings for client and internal reporting
Communicate technical findings to customers, recommend appropriate solutions, and provide guidance on equipment operation
Manage spare-parts inventory and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained for field-service activities
Respond promptly to service calls and emergency requests to resolve critical equipment issues
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and field operations
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline
Relevant experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Technician, or in a similar field-based technical role, preferably within the life sciences, manufacturing, or industrial equipment sectors
Strong technical knowledge of equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
Able to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, equipment manuals, and service documentation
Possess a valid driving licence and reliable transportation, as frequent travel to customer sites is required
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and service technologies would be advantageous
Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and scaffolding, and use the required personal protective equipment (PPE)
