Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing, management accounts, consolidated financial statements, and statutory reporting.
• Ensure financial reporting complies with MFRS/IFRS, the Companies Act, Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, Group policies, and other applicable regulations.
• Review general ledger and journal entries, account and bank reconciliations, financial disclosures, and related-party transactions.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and mid-year reforecasting; monitor performance against budget and recommend corrective actions for significant variances.
• Analyze business-unit profitability, cost-centre performance, operational costs, working capital, and cash flow to support management decisions.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury activities, bank transactions, fund management, and timely collections and payments.
• Manage corporate income tax, SST, transfer pricing, stamp duty, tax planning, and liaison with tax authorities.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, address audit findings, and monitor the implementation of corrective actions.
• Strengthen internal controls, financial governance, SOPs, risk-management practices, and compliance with the Company’s Limit of Authority.
• Oversee insurance administration, coverage reviews, renewals, claims, and liaison with insurers and brokers.
• Coordinate Enterprise Risk Management and sustainability or ESG reporting, including data collection, KPI monitoring, and reporting to the Group.
• Partner with business-unit heads and other departments to improve profitability, cost efficiency, financial performance, and operational accountability.
• Drive process improvement, digitalization, and automation initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy, data quality, and Finance efficiency.
• Lead, coach, and develop Finance team members while supporting succession planning and cross-functional capabilities.
• Support senior management with financial analysis, performance updates, and strategic business recommendations.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant finance experience, including supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
• Experience in a listed company, large corporate group, or multi-entity or multi-branch environment is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of financial and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, treasury, audit, internal controls, and statutory compliance.
• Familiarity with MFRS/IFRS, Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, related-party transactions, transfer pricing, and ERP or financial systems.
• Exposure to Enterprise Risk Management and sustainability or ESG reporting is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate financial information into practical business recommendations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Hands-on, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing both strategic and operational Finance matters.
