Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payments Specialist to support daily payment operations and ensure transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with internal procedures and applicable requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Operations, Compliance, and other teams to resolve payment-related issues and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and monitor daily payment transactions.
• Review payment instructions and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and failed transactions.
• Perform payment reconciliations and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate with internal teams, banks, and payment service providers when required.
• Monitor transaction statuses and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Support payment-related reporting and operational documentation.
• Assist with process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Follow internal controls, procedures, and applicable compliance requirements.
• Escalate unusual or potentially high-risk transactions through the appropriate channels.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Banking, or a related field.
• Experience in payments, banking operations, finance operations, or a related area is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard business tools.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience with payment platforms or financial systems is an advantage.
