CIMed Healthcare Malaysia is seeking a commercially driven Associate Business Development Manager to lead the development, commercialization, and expansion of our orthopaedic and medical device portfolio.

The Role

The Associate Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, new and existing product development, product commercialization, HCP adoption, and market expansion.

The role will manage a portfolio covering medical devices, surgical scaffolds, implants, and other new and emerging technologies, from initial market assessment and product introduction through to successful commercialization and sustainable revenue growth.

Working across both government and private healthcare channels, you will serve as an important link between business strategy, product development, clinical adoption, and sales execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead new and existing product development, including market assessment, product sourcing, opportunity evaluation, business case development, and commercial feasibility.
• Manage the end-to-end commercialization of assigned products, including Integrity Implant, HTO, and future new product lines.
• Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, product launches, and market-development plans.
• Identify new products, technologies, international principals, and strategic partnership opportunities that complement CIMed’s portfolio.
• Develop strong relationships with orthopaedic surgeons, key opinion leaders (KOLs), hospitals, and other healthcare stakeholders.
• Drive HCP adoption and product utilization through product introduction, clinical education, case development, and appropriate operating theatre support.
• Develop new accounts and expand business opportunities across government and private healthcare markets.
• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, SFE, Regulatory, and other internal stakeholders to translate business strategies into effective commercial execution.
• Manage relationships and business development activities with international principals and strategic partners.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer needs, and emerging technologies to identify new growth opportunities.
• Take ownership of assigned portfolio performance and deliver agreed revenue, product adoption, account-development, and market-development KPIs.
• Support the planning and execution of marketing activities, workshops, conferences, surgeon education programs, and product-related events.
• Develop effective sales tools, product positioning, key messages, and promotional materials to support the commercial team.
• Build sales team competencies through product training, role-play, field coaching, and objection handling.
• Work with the sales team to identify and overcome commercial, product-adoption, and market-access barriers that may limit business growth.

The ideal candidate is proactive, entrepreneurial, commercially minded, and hands-on, with the ability to identify opportunities and translate them into sustainable business growth.

Experience in medical devices, orthopaedics, surgical products, implants, healthcare business development, or product management will be an advantage.

The successful candidate should also be comfortable working directly with healthcare professionals, supporting clinical product adoption, developing sales capabilities, and collaborating with international business partners.
