About Kasagi Labo

Kasagi Labo is acquiring anime IPs and building an AI-powered social platform that connects fans and creators more effectively than traditional methods, automating and enhancing interactions like fan engagement and content creation, and proving so innovative that it’s fostering a global community and redefining anime fandom.

We’ve raised one of the largest seed rounds in SEA totalling US$20M to build out our vision. The team is small because we can’t hire great people as fast as the company is growing.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with senior engineers to build, test and deploy features across our web and mobile platforms.
• Contribute to feature development using React.js, Node.js, and Next.js
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in peer reviews
• Investigate bugs and performance issues across the stack, with guidance
• Work closely with product, design and content teams to bring ideas to life
• Learn fast, ask great questions and take ownership of small projects from day one

Requirements

• Proficiency in at least one programming language - Python, JavaScript, Typescript or Go is a plus
• Exposure to front-end frameworks (React.js, Node.js) or back-end development
• Familiarity with Git, APIs and general web architecture
• Attention to detail and eagerness to learn
• Passionate about tech, anime, or digital communities - bonus if you've built something of your own!
