Kerja Sepenuh Masa, Legal Counsel (6 to 9 Months Contract) - Digital Infrastructure di Space Executive - Maukerja

Our client is a leading data centre developer and operator with a growing presence across Asia Pacific. They are looking to appoint a Legal Counsel on a 6 to 9 month contract to provide support within their Singapore-headquartered legal team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced digital infrastructure platform and work closely with stakeholders across development, operations, commercial and corporate functions. The role is expected to commence in November/December 2026, and candidates who are able to onboard within this timeframe will be strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, including customer, vendor, procurement, services, consultancy and technology-related agreements.
• Supporting corporate secretarial and other corporate governance matters
• Supporting data centre development and operational matters across the region.
• Advising on construction, development and infrastructure-related agreements, including engagements with contractors, consultants and other project counterparties.
• Providing support on power, utilities and energy-related arrangements where required.
• Advising internal stakeholders on contractual interpretation, risk allocation, claims and other day-to-day commercial matters.
• Supporting corporate and transactional matters, including acquisitions, joint ventures, investments and financing-related work where required.
• Working closely with Development, Commercial, Finance, Procurement, Operations and senior management.
• Managing external counsel and coordinating cross-border legal matters where necessary.
• Providing practical, commercially focused legal advice while appropriately managing legal and regulatory risk.

Key Requirements

• Min 8 to 15 PQE, although candidates outside this range with directly relevant experience will also be considered.
• Qualified in Singapore, England & Wales, Australia or another recognised common law jurisdiction.
• Strong commercial contracting experience gained within a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal team.
• Prior experience within data centres, digital infrastructure, telecommunications, technology, energy, utilities, construction, real estate or broader infrastructure would be advantageous.
• Exposure to data centre development, construction/EPC, power procurement, leasing or infrastructure transactions would be particularly relevant.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial, pragmatic and comfortable operating independently within a lean legal team.
• Able to quickly integrate into the business and hit the ground running
• Familiar with corporate secretarial and other regulatory and corporate governance matters

Given the nature of the appointment, candidates who can commit to the full contract period and onboard promptly will be preferred.
