AML Manager – Banking
Responsibilities
Lead AML/CFT activities covering transaction monitoring, KYC/CDD, EDD, sanctions screening and suspicious transaction reviews.
Manage and review complex AML alerts and investigations, ensuring timely escalation and appropriate disposition.
Oversee customer onboarding and periodic reviews, particularly for high-risk corporate, FI and private banking clients.
Conduct AML risk assessments and provide advisory support to Relationship Managers and business teams.
Monitor regulatory developments and ensure AML policies, procedures and controls remain aligned with MAS and internal requirements.
Lead compliance testing, quality assurance and remediation initiatives to identify and address control gaps.
Prepare AML reports, risk assessments, management information and regulatory submissions for senior management.
Work closely with Compliance, Risk, Operations, Front Office and Head Office teams on AML matters.
Support regulatory inspections, internal audits and AML-related projects.
Coach and develop junior AML/Compliance team members.
Requirements
Degree in Finance, Business, Law, Accounting or a related discipline.
6–10 years of relevant AML/Financial Crime Compliance experience within banking or financial institutions.
Strong hands-on experience in
KYC/CDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions and AML investigations
.
Good understanding of MAS AML/CFT requirements and Singapore regulatory framework.
Experience covering
Corporate Banking, Private Banking and/or Financial Institutions
is preferred.
Strong analytical, investigative and stakeholder management skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced banking environment.
CAMS or relevant AML/compliance certification
is an advantage.
