Job Scope

A Chargeman is typically responsible for overseeing and managing teams of workers in industrial or manufacturing settings. The role involves coordinating workflows, ensuring safety standards are met, and troubleshooting any machinery or equipment issues that may arise. A Chargeman also often takes on administrative duties, which may include organising schedules, maintaining records and ensuring adherence to regulations and guidelines. They generally work in sectors such as construction, manufacturing and engineering, where they play a role in ensuring smooth operations. Prior experience in a relevant field and leadership skills are typically required to successfully perform in this role.

Tasks and duties

• Overseeing the operations and maintenance of electrical systems in a facility.
• Implementing safety procedures and standards for operations and maintenance tasks.
• Inspecting and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment to identify and rectify issues.
• Coordinating with different teams and departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Managing a team of technicians, providing guidance and ensuring their adherence to safety regulations.
• Monitoring the quality and efficiency of electrical systems and initiating corrective actions when required.
• Scheduling and overseeing preventive maintenance tasks to avoid equipment failure or downtime.

Job Requirements

• Possess at least certificate in Chargemen/Electrical Engineering / Electrical or accredited equivalent
• At least 2 years of working experience in M&E services and works on site
• Able to read / understand M&E Drawings and other plans and have a good understanding of construction work activities and sequence work
• Team work spirit & positive attitude
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
• Able to work independently, highly discipline, responsible, punctual and very duty bound

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
