Key Role Statement
The Integration Manager leads and coordinates all technical infrastructure and system-integration elements required to transform a constructed facility into a fully functional data centre. The role ensures that ICT systems, critical infrastructure installations, and cross-discipline interfaces are delivered seamlessly, in line with project governance requirements and the overall integration plan.
Responsibilities and Deliverables
ICT & Fit-Out Delivery Oversight
- Provide client-side management across ICT and fit-out delivery for data centre sites.
- Oversee deployment of physical ICT infrastructure including racks, integration components, copper and fibre cabling, and complete end-to-end patching based on approved ICT design.
- Coordinate interfaces between mechanical, electrical, security, and other supporting disciplines.
- Validate all technical deliverables against design specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Support build-readiness assessments and ensure site conditions meet installation and commissioning requirements.
- Maintain risk logs and drive mitigation for integration-related constraints or blockers.
Contractor, Vendor & Long-Lead Equipment Coordination
- Support the client’s IT infrastructure team in the engagement of contractors and long-lead equipment suppliers.
- Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for the service provider delivering colocation, network, office and storage fit-out activities.
- Manage interface requirements between contractors, landlords, long-lead suppliers, and the client’s technical team.
- Establish unified issue-tracking processes and maintain clear accountability across all parties.
- Coordinate logistics planning for equipment delivery, staging, sequencing, and storage.
- Review vendor methodologies to ensure alignment with project standards and technical expectations.
Reporting & Issue Management
- Provide weekly reports to the client’s technical team covering open actions, risks, issues, and decisions requiring input.
- Support weekly update calls focusing on open actions, escalations, and cross-team alignment.
- Track status against scope, schedule, and budget baselines while highlighting emerging variances.
- Build consolidated dashboards for integration milestones, commissioning readiness, and risk posture.
- Recommend corrective actions for deviations impacting timeline, technical integration, or quality.
Programme Management & Change Control
- Direct and assess change management processes for scope or schedule impacts.
- Review progress against agreed programme milestones and coordinate interface requirements with contract teams and suppliers.
- Maintain the programme baseline and proactively identify critical-path risks.
- Coordinate exception planning for urgent activities or integration conflicts.
- Ensure all commissioning prerequisites are met before key delivery checkpoints.
Team Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Run weekly coordination sessions and project coordination meetings to review outstanding actions and manage cross-discipline interfaces.
- Engage with the commissioning team as the coordination point for commissioning-phase activities.
- Maintain a structured communication framework to ensure consistent information flow across stakeholders.
- Facilitate conflict resolution between contractors and technical teams to unblock dependencies.
- Ensure the service provider and client technical team remain aligned from planning through commissioning.
Safety & Site Governance
- Provide reporting on site safety and promote best-practice approaches across the project.
- Conduct regular site walks and verify compliance with HSE protocols.
- Support incident management and corrective action implementation.
- Promote a culture of operational safety across all field teams.
Logistics & Operational Support
- Assist with project logistics management.
- Oversee suitability of storage, staging, and material handling processes.
- Support operational handover preparation including documentation, asset verification, and final technical sign-offs.
Workload & Availability Requirements
- Full-time presence: 5 days per week, 22 working days per month.
- Work may extend beyond standard hours during critical or emergency activities.
- Provide coverage during service provider leave periods.
- Ensure continuity of site oversight during key commissioning and handover phases.
- Provide flexible availability during major integration milestones.
