Job Summary

Join YSCA Consultancy as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost and contract management, providing expert advice and managing procurement for projects from feasibility to completion.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and provide early cost advice to support project planning.
• Manage quantity surveying, cost control, and contract administration throughout project lifecycles.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and cost plans to guide budgeting and financial control.
• Implement value management and cost management strategies to optimize project expenditure.
• Advise on and manage the overall procurement process to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Prepare tender and contract documentation to facilitate transparent bidding processes.
• Evaluate tenders received, perform analysis, and report findings to stakeholders.
• Measure and quantify work done through accurate take-offs and quantity assessments.
• Value progress payment claims, variations, and final accounts to ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Attend project and site meetings to coordinate with teams and stakeholders.

Required competencies and certifications

• Recognised Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, or equivalent qualification
• Proficiency in Quantity Surveying software and applications to support project tasks

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• 2 to 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a consultancy firm environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated through reliable collaboration
• Good technical and contractual knowledge applied with high integrity and work ethic
• Ability to work independently and effectively as a team player on multiple projects, ensuring timely deliverables
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
