Role Description: This role is responsible for leading and delivering end-to-end Talent Acquisition (TA) activities for Malaysia (approximately 70% of the role), while supporting designated business units as a Talent Management Business Partner (TMBP) (approximately 30%). The role provides day-to-day supervision and guidance to the TA team, ensures timely and quality hiring, strengthens candidate and onboarding experience, and partners with business leaders on engagement, performance, and talent development needs.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Talent Acquisition (70%)
- Lead and manage full-cycle recruitment for permanent, contract, and internship positions across Malaysia.
- Translate hiring needs into practical recruitment plans, priorities, and timelines in partnership with hiring managers.
- Prepare and review internal and external job advertisements, job postings, job specifications, and recruitment materials.
- Drive candidate sourcing through job portals, social media platforms, professional networks, agencies, and headhunters.
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and ensure an efficient, consistent, and equitable selection process.
- Manage the offer process, including offer recommendations, salary approval coordination, and preparation of offer letters.
- Ensure pre-onboarding readiness, including laptop, email ID, and system access, for new hires.
- Oversee onboarding and introductory training to support the smooth integration of new associates.
- Represent the company at job fairs, campus events, and other recruitment activities.
- Monitor recruitment progress, hiring metrics, market trends, and emerging recruitment practices, and recommend improvements.
- Supervise and guide team members under the TA pillar, including work allocation, recruitment priorities, progress tracking, and issue resolution.
- Coach and develop TA team members through regular check-ins, feedback, knowledge sharing, and on-the-job guidance.
- Review the quality and consistency of recruitment deliverables and ensure compliance with approved processes, policies, and service standards.
- Support performance goal setting and performance discussions for assigned TA team members, in consultation with the Country Head of Talent Management.
B. Talent Management Business Partnering (30%)
- Build strong working relationships with business leaders and associates to support engagement, morale, and team effectiveness.
- Serve as the first point of contact for Talent Management-related inquiries for assigned business units.
- Address employee relations concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating complex matters where appropriate.
- Conduct regular check-ins with business leaders to understand team dynamics, challenges, and development needs.
- Support Talent Review (TR), Performance & Goals (P&G), and other Talent Management processes for assigned units.
- Maintain and update job descriptions for respective business units.
- Provide guidance to leaders and associates on Talent Management policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Partner with Talent Reward and SSC to ensure smooth execution of Talent Management operations and initiatives.
- Support the Country Head of Talent Management in policy development, process improvements, and TM operations.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Science, or a related field.
Experience
- At least 5 years of relevant Talent Acquisition experience, including experience coordinating, mentoring, or supervising recruiters or recruitment activities.
- Exposure to HRBP responsibilities is an advantage.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and concurrent hiring priorities.
