iPRECIATION is seeking a Digital Economy Intern to supportresearch and strategic initiatives at the intersection of digital payments,blockchain, financial infrastructure, and the art market. The intern willresearch emerging digital economy models, analyse payment and transaction flows,and explore how blockchain and Web3 technologies can improve the movement of value,information, and ownership across the fine art ecosystem. The role will alsosupport digital economy strategy, market research, and business developmentinitiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Research trends in digital payments, fintech, blockchain, tokenisation, and transaction infrastructure.
Analyse payment and transaction flows within the art market, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, transparency, and security.
Research payment models, transaction costs, settlement processes, and emerging payment solutions.
Conduct market and competitor research across fintech, blockchain, digital platforms, and technology-enabled marketplaces.
Support the development of digital economy strategies, business models, and potential revenue streams.
Research potential technology, financial, and industry partners and support partnership development.
Prepare market analyses, research reports, pitch decks, and strategic recommendations.
Monitor developments in digital identity, digital assets, tokenisation, and related technologies relevant to the platform.
Assist with selected projects relating to platform development, business operations, and digital transformation.
Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, FinTech, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
Strong interest in digital economy, payments, fintech, blockchain, and emerging business models.
Strong analytical, research, and written communication skills.
Comfortable working with data, researching unfamiliar topics, and translating findings into clear, actionable insights.
Proficiency in Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or other data visualisation tools is highly advantageous.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
Interest in the art market or creative industries is an advantage.
