Job Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the movement, distribution, and storage of goods and materials. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and customers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products. The Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in optimizing the supply chain and maintaining accurate records of logistics activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Transportation Coordination:
- Plan and coordinate transportation routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Select and negotiate with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers.
- Track shipments and address any issues that arise during transit.
2. Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure accurate stock counts.
- Manage inventory replenishment and place orders to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and transactions.
3. Order Processing:
- Process customer orders and ensure they are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Prepare shipping documents, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and customs declarations.
- Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve any order-related issues.
4. Logistics Optimization:
- Analyze logistics processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implement strategies to reduce transportation costs and improve efficiency.
- Utilize logistics software and tools to optimize routing and scheduling.
5. Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with local, national, and international regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics activities.
- Prepare reports on logistics performance and key metrics.
6. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with warehouse, production, and sales teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide support and training to other team members as needed.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to address logistics challenges and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- High school SPM/STPM, diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in office administration or a related field is a plus.
- Experience in an administrative or clerical role preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of office equipment and technology.
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment, with occasional visits to warehouses and other facilities.
- May require occasional overtime or weekend work to meet deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to RM4,500.00 per month
