Job Summary
We are looking for a Technical Document Controller to support our EPC project team in managing and controlling technical and project documentation. The role ensures documents are accurately registered, tracked, distributed, revised, and archived in accordance with project, client, and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain technical and project documents throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain Master Document Registers (MDR), drawing registers, transmittal logs, and document tracking records.
- Register, check, distribute, track, and archive documents and revisions.
- Prepare and issue document transmittals to clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Monitor document status, revisions, approvals, comments, and outstanding submissions.
- Support the compilation and submission of engineering, QA/QC, construction, and handover documentation.
- Ensure superseded documents are properly controlled and archived.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC, vendors, subcontractors, and clients on document requirements and submissions.
- Provide general document control support and perform other duties assigned by the Project Manager or supervisor.
Requirements
- Diploma or above in Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related disciplines.
- 1–3 years of experience in document control, preferably in EPC, construction, engineering, oil & gas, or industrial projects.
- Experience in technical/engineering document control is preferred.
- Familiar with document numbering, revision control, transmittals, document registers, and filing systems.
- Experience handling engineering drawings, specifications, vendor documents, and QA/QC records is an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with EDMS/document management systems is preferred.
- Good communication, coordination, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
