Desh Catering Service Pte Ltd is looking for a hardworking and responsible Assistant Cook to join our food production team in Singapore.

Assistant Cook

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Cook/Chef with daily food preparation and cooking.
• Prepare Bangladeshi-style dishes according to the daily menu.
• Cut and prepare meat, fish, vegetables and other ingredients.
• Prepare spices, marinades, curry bases and cooking ingredients.
• Assist in cooking rice, curry, dal, vegetables, fish and meat dishes.
• Follow recipes, portion sizes and food quality standards.
• Support large-volume cooking for catering operations.
• Ensure food is prepared and ready according to the production and delivery schedule.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, equipment and utensils.
• Follow food safety, personal hygiene and PPE requirements.
• Properly store raw materials and prepared food.
• Minimise food wastage and use ingredients responsibly.
• Assist with cleaning and other kitchen duties when required.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Head Cook or Kitchen Supervisor.

Requirements

• Experience in Bangladeshi cooking or catering kitchen preferred.
• Experience in bulk/large-volume cooking will be an advantage.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Physically fit and willing to work shifts when required.
• Good knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
• Responsible, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
