We are looking for a Project Procurement Specialist to support R&D and new product development projects by managing the sourcing and procurement of technical components and materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and develop suitable suppliers for components, materials and technical products
• Support procurement activities for R&D, engineering and new product development projects.
• Source and qualify suppliers based on quality, cost, technical capability, capacity and delivery performance
• Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to understand technical requirements, specifications and project needs.
• Review technical specifications, drawings and BOMs to support sourcing and supplier selection.
• Coordinate with suppliers on new component development, samples, prototypes and engineering changes.
• Support supplier qualification, product validation and approval processes together with engineering and quality teams.
• Monitor procurement activities and supplier progress to ensure project timelines and milestones are met.
• Manage supplier performance and resolve issues relating to quality, delivery, cost and technical requirements.
• Support cost analysis, benchmarking and market research to identify sourcing opportunities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of sourcing strategies, procurement processes and supplier networks.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in project procurement, technical procurement, strategic sourcing or a related engineering/procurement role.
• Strong understanding of procurement and sourcing processes within an R&D or new product development environment.
• Experience in supplier sourcing, evaluation, negotiation and development.
• Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
