This role goes beyond warehouse or fulfilment management. You will coordinate people, priorities, commercial performance, marketplaces, inventory and cross-functional execution. Your success will be reflected in issues being surfaced early, PICs taking ownership, weekly priorities moving without repeated chasing, and routine decisions being handled confidently by the team.

Key responsibilities

• Translate management direction into clear priorities, PICs, deadlines, KPIs and review points.
• Coordinate execution across marketplaces, marketing, warehouse, purchasing, finance and customer service.
• Lead weekly performance reviews and follow through on delayed, underperforming or unresolved actions.
• Monitor revenue, gross profit, advertising spend, inventory levels, fulfilment performance and operating costs.
• Identify operational risks early, determine root causes and lead practical corrective action.
• Assess new commercial ideas based on expected returns, team capacity, resources and operational feasibility.
• Strengthen SOPs, reporting and accountability without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
• Develop team capability through clear delegation, coaching and performance management.
• Keep management informed through concise dashboards, recommendations and exception reporting.

What we are looking for

• At least 5 years of experience in business operations, commercial operations or general management.
• Demonstrated ownership of measurable improvements in performance, margin, productivity, cost or inventory.
• Strong commercial numeracy, including working knowledge of P&L, gross margin, budgets and operational data.
• Experience managing people and coordinating work across several functions.
• Exposure to an SME, e-commerce, retail, consumer products or distribution environment is preferred.
• Exceptional follow-through with the ability to create structure in a fast-moving environment.
• Able to challenge priorities respectfully, explain trade-offs and recommend practical alternatives.
• Low ego, high ownership and willingness to remain hands-on while building stronger systems.
