As a PLC Engineer under Automation & Control Team, you will be tasked to provide operational technical support to drive productivity and product quality with GxP compliance and regulatory requirements. You will also assist to drive/ execute control and automation projects and provide maintenance, backup and restore for IPC and PLCs. You will also carry out / support investigation for non-conformances.

In this role, a typical day will include:

· 1st level engineering support for major equipment downtime [24x7 supports]

· Focus on solving recurring/ long-term equipment issues through detailed understanding of the design or engineering concepts.

· Maintain and perform routine check and backup/restore for Industrial PCs/ PLCs.

· Lead and support automation/control related projects. Develop/review project documentations and related SOPs. Perform equipment/software validation.

· Prepare training materials on respective process/ system/ equipment in term of operation, maintenance or troubleshooting.

· Innovate, provide and implement ideas for process or equipment improvement.

· Ensure the system/equipment are comply with HSE, and Alcon quality requirement

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

· Minimum 2 years of intensive hands on experiences in technical (Electrical/ Mechatronic /Electronic/Physics/ Automation) troubleshooting and experience on Siemens S7/TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT and/or Allen Bradley PLC.

· Experience on factory automation system installation/validation and understanding of GMP/GDP requirement.
Able to provide 24/7 hours standby support based on rotational basis
