As part of our commitment to student success, we have established the Student Experience & Employability Development (SEED) department to provide students with a connected journey from orientation through to employment.

We are looking for an Assistant Manager / Manager, Employability Development to join our growing team and play a key role in preparing students for successful careers.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director, Student Experience & Employability Development (SEED), you will lead LSBF's employability and career readiness initiatives, helping students develop the skills, confidence, and industry awareness needed to succeed in today's job market.

You will design and deliver career development programmes, provide career coaching, manage employability platforms, and work closely with employers, alumni, and internal stakeholders to create meaningful employment opportunities for students and graduates.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys making a direct impact on student outcomes and wants to help build a new function from the ground up.

Key ResponsibilitiesCareer Coaching & Student Development

• Provide one-to-one and group career coaching to students and graduates
• Guide students on career planning, job search strategies, CV writing, LinkedIn profile development, interview preparation and personal branding
• Support students in identifying career pathways aligned with their goals and strengths

Employability Programmes & Events

• Design and deliver a calendar of employability workshops, bootcamps and career readiness programmes
• Organise employer talks, networking sessions, industry panels and career-related events
• Support recruitment initiatives, internship opportunities and graduate employment programmes

Digital Employability Platforms

• Manage and enhance employability-related digital platforms and resources
• Oversee career portals, online learning resources, LinkedIn initiatives and graduate tracking systems
• Monitor platform engagement and continuously improve the student user experience

Alumni & Industry Engagement

• Collaborate with alumni and industry partners to create networking and mentoring opportunities
• Promote graduate success stories and career achievements
• Leverage alumni networks to identify potential employment opportunities for students and graduates

Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement

• Partner with academic schools, student support teams and industry stakeholders to strengthen employability initiatives
• Monitor programme effectiveness and recommend improvements based on student and employer feedback
• Contribute to the development of SEED's processes, services and future growth

Requirements Essential

• Bachelor's degree from a recognised institution
• Minimum 3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Career Services
• Career Coaching
• Talent Acquisition
• Graduate Recruitment
• Campus Recruitment
• Human Resources
• Executive Search
• Learning & Development
• Strong presentation, facilitation and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and project management abilities
• Comfortable using digital platforms and technology to support career development initiatives

Preferred

• Experience within higher education, training, education services, or student support environments
• Career coaching certifications or related professional qualifications
• Familiarity with graduate employability programmes, internships or employer engagement initiatives
• Experience building new programmes, processes or services from the ground up
