Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum SPM or equivalent; Diploma or higher is an advantage.
• At least 2 years of retail, sales, or customer service experience.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• Experience in fishing tackle, sporting goods, outdoor retail, or a similar industry is an advantage.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Good understanding of retail operations, sales, and inventory management.
• Comfortable using POS systems, spreadsheets, and messaging platforms.
• Good product knowledge or strong interest in fishing and fishing tackle is highly preferred.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Responsible, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Confident in leading and motivating a small team.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Able to work weekends and public holidays according to the store schedule.

Responsibilities

Store Operations & Customer Service

• Oversee daily store operations and ensure smooth running of the retail outlet.
• Lead by example in serving customers and providing knowledgeable product recommendations.
• Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
• Ensure the store is clean, organised, and well-presented at all times.

Team Management

• Supervise, guide, and motivate retail staff to achieve sales and service standards.
• Manage staff schedules, attendance, and daily task allocation.
• Train staff on product knowledge, customer service, and store procedures.
• Monitor staff performance and provide coaching where needed.

Sales & Inventory

• Drive daily sales and work towards store sales targets.
• Monitor product performance and identify opportunities to improve sales.
• Manage stock receiving, replenishment, stock counts, and inventory accuracy.
• Ensure products are properly priced, displayed, and promoted.
• Minimise stock discrepancies, damages, and losses.

Marketing & Promotions

• Support in-store promotions, product launches, and marketing campaigns.
• Coordinate with the marketing team to execute promotions and content activities.
• Provide customer and market feedback to improve product and marketing strategies.
