Key Responsibilities

1. Commissioning & Testing

• Execute Level 1 to Level 5 commissioning activities for diesel generator systems in data centre projects.
• Perform pre-commissioning inspections, functional testing, and integrated systems testing in line customer approved Cx scripts.
• Handling of test instruments (Power quality analyser, vibration meter, sound meter, phase sequence meter, megger, earth tester etc.), extracting data from the instruments and compilation.
• Conduct load bank testing and performance validation.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues during commissioning.
• Coordinate with Client team for system validation and approvals.
• Maintain proper documentation, test reports, and handover records.
• Report generation within 08 hours from each Cx Level Tests.

2. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure all activities comply with local regulations and data centre standards.
• Follow strict HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) guidelines.
• Participate in risk assessments and method statement reviews.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commissioning diesel generator systems.
• Proven experience in data centre projects (mission-critical environments preferred).
• Strong knowledge of generator controllers (DEIF, ComAp etc.), electrical protection systems, ATS, fire systems, engine operation, cooling system etc.
• Hands-on experience with load bank testing and integrated system testing (IST).
• Ability to manage commissioning from Level 1 (component verification) to Level 5 (integrated systems testing & client handover).
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Willingness to work on-site in Johor and Cyberjaya.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with major diesel generator OEMs.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work under tight project timelines.
