The Role

We are looking for a meticulous and driven Finance Specialist to join a technology sector organization on a 6-month contract, supporting critical accounting operations and financial reporting processes. This is a great opportunity for a junior accounting professional to strengthen their expertise in a fast-paced, process-driven finance environment while contributing to accurate and timely month-end and quarter-end reporting.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate and coordinate with process owners, functions, and business teams to ensure monthly and quarterly financials are prepared in accordance with US-GAAP

• Ensure adequate reporting controls are performed as required by internal control procedures, including posting manual journal entries where necessary

• Prepare assigned accounts in accordance with approved Account Write-Ups

• Track and complete assigned tasks in Recon Smart or other applications in a timely manner

• Perform other closing and reporting tasks as assigned by the team lead

• Detect and flag flaws in approaches, methods, procedures, and processes, and suggest improvements

• Communicate with colleagues and business stakeholders regarding data gathering and analysis

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of experience in General Accounting and Financial Reporting

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent

• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures

• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; SAP experience is an added advantage

• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently

• Experience in a Shared Services environment or the Oil & Gas industry is an added advantage
