About AAZ and Tallyo
AAZ Consulting Sdn. Bhd. provides consulting, training and system development services. We developed Tallyo, a subscription-based cloud accounting platform for bookkeeping, invoicing and reporting.

We’re looking for an Accounts Executive who can manage our internal accounts and use that accounting experience to help improve Tallyo. This role brings together day-to-day accounting, software testing and client-facing work.

Key responsibilities

1. Core accounting and bookkeeping (50%)

• Maintain full sets of internal accounts, including the general ledger (GL), accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR) and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain financial records in line with applicable Malaysian requirements, including SST and e-Invoicing.
• Prepare month-end and year-end financial statements and assist with audit preparation.

2. Software testing and engineering collaboration (25%)

• Use Tallyo for daily accounting work and identify system errors, calculation mismatches and interface inconsistencies.
• Document issues with screenshots, steps to reproduce, and the expected versus actual accounting outcome.
• Explain accounting rules and discrepancies in clear, logical steps that software engineers can act on.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) on new features, modules and patches before release to external users.

3. Client engagement and sales support (25%)

• Join the sales and growth team in product demonstrations, using practical accounting knowledge to answer questions from prospective clients.
• Help onboard new clients, particularly accountants and finance teams, including support with data migration and workflow setup.
• Listen to client feedback and share useful insights with the product team.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification or pathway.
• 1–3 years of experience managing full sets of accounts.
• Strong command of double-entry bookkeeping, GL, AP, AR, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of Malaysian SST and e-Invoicing requirements.
• Ability to write clear bug reports and explain accounting outcomes to people without an accounting background.
• Confidence presenting software to clients and working with accounting, engineering and sales colleagues.
• An adaptable, collaborative approach to work in a growing team.

An advantage if you have

• Experience with accounting systems such as SQL Accounting, AutoCount or UBS, or cloud platforms such as Xero or QuickBooks.
• Experience documenting work in tools such as Slack, Jira or Trello.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm
