JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cost planning and control throughout the project lifecycle—from tender submission to final account. Your core responsibilities will include budgeting, cost analysis, contract administration, and progress claim management, ensuring each project is executed efficiently, profitably, and in line with contractual obligations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and evaluate tender submissions, cost estimates, and project budgets
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), tender documentation, and contracts
• Conduct cost analysis and manage project costs to ensure adherence to budget
• Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on contractual and cost-related matters
• Provide procurement advice and support the awarding of contracts
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations, negotiate terms, and assist in preparing subcontractor agreements
• Monitor material and labour costs, and prepare regular cost and financial reports
• Support project managers in contract administration and project execution
• Monitor awarded projects throughout their lifecycle and ensure proper documentation and contract compliance
• Assist in preparing and reviewing subcontractor progress claims, based on site progress and work done
• Work closely with project managers and the Finance Department to prepare, review, and submit timely project progress claims
• Attend progress claim meetings and follow up on approvals and certifications

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or related field
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of tendering procedures, contract law, and cost management
• Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and MS Office applications
• Good analytical, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Meticulous, organised, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
