Core Responsibilities and Operational Coverage:

• Production Floor & Technical Support:
• Serve as the primary contact for real-time troubleshooting of electrical, software, and hardware issues on the production floor.
• Provide technical support for sales orders, production lines, and Quality Assurance activities involving electrical components, harnesses, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Troubleshoot complex sub-assembly issues involving generator integration, including Gulmay 300 kV units, transformer testing, and subsystem diagnostics.

Test Equipment & Fixture Maintenance:

• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot internal test equipment, including Wental potting testers, coil testers, bench testers, and umbilical testers.
• Manage computer hardware upgrades, system backups and cloning, and migration paths for legacy Windows XP and Windows 7 test environments.
• Coordinate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to modify tester hardware and resolve software compatibility issues.

Engineering Change Management & BOM Control:

• Process, review, and release Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Commercial ECOs to correct drawing errors, revise cable lengths, and optimise component selection.
• Update and maintain electrical schematics, AutoCAD cable drawings, and top-level BOM structures.
• Review machine configurations and deliverables against sales order requirements.
• Periodically update and reconfigure WBOM (WBRSM) for BPI, WTMD, and Satmagan.

New Product Support & Pilot Builds:

• Support pilot builds and prototype testing, and implement customer-specific modifications and integrated harnesses, including BHS interface rails and special sales modifications.
• Develop compliance matrices and implement new production software and testing protocols.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or Mechatronics, with strong proficiency in electrical and electronic systems.
• Experience: Two to four years of hands-on engineering experience in a high-mix manufacturing or electromechanical production environment.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent electrical schematic design software.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, BOM structures, and Engineering Change Order (ECO) workflows.
• Experience maintaining automated test equipment, working with PLC controls, and troubleshooting electrical hardware.
• Competencies: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, effective cross-functional communication, and the ability to manage multiple engineering priorities within tight production schedules.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
