Ipanema World Music Bar is looking for a dynamic Bar Manager to take full ownership of the bar’s daily operations, team performance, and overall profitability.
You’ll be responsible for leading the bar team, managing stock and costs, maintaining high service and beverage standards, and ensuring the bar delivers an exceptional guest experience that matches our music-driven vibe.
Responsibilities:
Lead daily bar operations and ensure smooth service flow
Manage the outlet’s budget, including revenue, labour costs, and profitability
Lead, motivate, and manage the bar team to deliver fast, friendly, and high-quality service
Ensure drink quality, consistency, and adherence to standards
Oversee inventory management, including stock counts, ordering, stock levels, wastage, and cost control
Coordinate with the operations team on promotions and drive effective upselling
Handle guest feedback promptly and provide efficient, courteous service
Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, hygiene, and operational standards
What we’re looking for:
Strong leadership with a hands-on attitude
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to stay composed and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and consistency
Good knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and industry trends
Strong understanding of bar operations, cost control, and team management
Requirements:
Minimum “O” Level with good command of English
Minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on bartending experience, including at least 1 to 2 years in a supervisory or head bartender role.
