Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced IT Application Project Manager with strong experience in the banking/financial services domain to manage end-to-end delivery of application projects, enhancements, system integrations, and regulatory initiatives. The role will be responsible for project planning, stakeholder management, delivery governance, risk management, and ensuring applications are delivered on time, within budget, and according to business and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of IT application projects from initiation, planning and requirements gathering through development, testing, deployment and post-production support.
• Work closely with Business Users, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, QA/Testers, Infrastructure teams and external vendors.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, deliverables and resource requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, RAID logs and project status reports.
• Coordinate application development, enhancement, integration, migration and implementation activities.
• Manage SIT, UAT, Regression Testing, Performance Testing, Production Deployment and Post-Implementation Support.
• Monitor project progress, dependencies, risks, issues and changes, and implement appropriate mitigation plans.
• Manage project scope, change requests, resource allocation and delivery priorities.
• Coordinate with technical teams to investigate application issues, defects and production incidents, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Ensure application changes comply with banking policies, IT governance, security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present project status updates, management reports and project dashboards to senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate Change Requests (CR), Release Management, RFCs and production implementation activities.
• Ensure proper project documentation including BRD, FSD, RTM, test plans, deployment plans, meeting minutes and project closure documents.
• Manage third-party vendors and system integrators to ensure delivery meets agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve application processes, project governance and operational efficiency.
• Ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, timeline, budget and quality expectations.

Required Skills

• Strong IT Project Management experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience managing application development and system integration projects.
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
• Good understanding of SIT, UAT, Regression Testing and Production Deployment.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, ServiceNow, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong knowledge of project governance, risk management, issue management and change management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance or a related field.
• Typically 5–10 years of IT experience, with at least 3–5 years in IT Project Management.
• Banking or financial services project experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with banking applications, regulatory projects or financial systems is an advantage.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, Agile or ITIL certification is an added advantage.
