Freelance Early Childhood CCA Instructor (Ages 2–4)Job Summary

Are you warm, energetic, patient, and naturally great with young children? We are looking for enthusiastic Freelance Early Childhood CCA Instructors to deliver fun, hands-on enrichment programmes for children aged 2–4 years old.

Our programmes use play, movement, exploration, and hands-on activities across areas such as science, arts & crafts, music, sports, sensory play, and early numeracy.

We are looking for instructors who can bring the right mix of energy, patience, flexibility, and warmth needed to keep very young children engaged and supported.

Training, lesson plans, and activity materials will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging early childhood CCA sessions: Lead fun, age-appropriate activities through play, exploration, movement, and hands-on learning.
• Keep young learners engaged: Use expressive communication, demonstrations, songs, stories, movement, and encouragement to maintain participation.
• Adapt activities to the children: Recognise different attention spans, confidence levels, and abilities and adjust your approach where necessary.
• Create a warm and positive environment: Help children feel comfortable, supported, and excited to participate while managing behaviour patiently and consistently.
• Ensure safe and organised sessions: Supervise children closely, manage materials responsibly, and follow provided lesson plans and programme guidelines.

Key Requirements

• Experience working with children aged 2–4 years old is strongly preferred.
• Naturally warm, bubbly, energetic, expressive, and patient when interacting with young children.
• Comfortable being highly interactive – including singing, moving, demonstrating, storytelling, playing, and participating alongside the children.
• Able to give short, simple, age-appropriate instructions and repeat or demonstrate activities when needed.
• Patient and calm when dealing with common early childhood behaviours such as short attention spans, reluctance to participate, emotional moments, or children needing additional reassurance.
• Able to think on your feet and adapt an activity when children lose interest or need additional support.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional when working within school environments.
• Able to commit to a weekly CCA schedule for a minimum of 6 months, excluding school holidays.
• Willing to travel to various school locations across Singapore.
• Willing to undergo the necessary background and safeguarding checks required for working in schools.

Bonus (not required):

• Background in early childhood education, preschool teaching, child development, performing arts, sports, music, science, art, or enrichment education.
• Early childhood or preschool teaching qualifications.
• Experience leading group activities for toddlers or preschool-aged children.
• Experience delivering hands-on, sensory, creative, movement, or play-based activities.

Interview & Selection Process

Candidates will undergo a 3-stage selection process:

• Initial Screening & Group Stage (Video Call) – Short interview and group interaction to assess communication, energy, and suitability for working with young children.
• Face-to-Face Session & Trial Lesson Segment – In-person meeting, programme training, and a short demonstration activity.
• Tryout Class (Final Review) – Conduct a supervised class session for final evaluation.

• Strong classroom presence: clear communication, patience, positivity, and the ability to manage behaviour kindly but firmly.
• Reliable and professional in school settings.
• Willing to travel to various school locations across Singapore.
• Willing to undergo a background check (required for school settings).
• Able to commit to weekly Wednesdays for a minimum term of 6 months (excluding school holidays).

Bonus (not required):

• Ability to play keyboard, guitar, or ukulele proficiently (useful for pitch support, accompaniment, and games).
• Prior experience teaching children (music, enrichment, CCA, tuition, etc.).
