HEAD OF AWARDS & EVENTS

Global Private Banker

Location: Singapore preferred | Hong Kong considered

Reports to: Managing Director

THE ROLE

Global Private Banker is looking for a senior, commercially driven Head of Awards & Events to lead the next phase of growth across our global private banking and wealth management awards, conferences, summits and executive forums.

This is a senior leadership position for an established industry professional with a deep network across private banking, wealth management, family offices, asset management and wealth technology.

We are looking for someone who has been part of building and scaling a respected financial services media, intelligence, awards or events business, ideally within a bona fide, established financial services platform with a strong reputation and recognised industry following.

The successful candidate will bring credibility, relationships, commercial instinct and an understanding of what senior private wealth practitioners actually want from an industry platform.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

1. Awards

Lead and grow the Global Private Banker awards portfolio across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and other strategic wealth markets.

This includes:

• Developing the annual awards calendar and category architecture
• Identifying new awards opportunities across private banking, wealth management, family offices, investment management and wealth technology
• Building relationships with senior private banking executives and practitioners to drive high-quality participation
• Strengthening the credibility, positioning and commercial value of the awards
• Developing judging panels and senior industry advisory networks
• Working closely with editorial and insights teams to ensure awards are supported by genuine industry intelligence
• Developing winner engagement and commercial packages
• Increasing participation, sponsorship and revenue across the portfolio
• Ensuring awards become an ongoing relationship platform rather than a once-a-year transaction

2. Flagship Conferences & Summits

Own the development of a portfolio of premium Global Private Banker events.

This will include:

• Flagship annual summits
• Regional private wealth conferences
• Investment and asset-class forums
• Family office events
• Private banking leadership forums
• Wealth technology events
• Executive roundtables
• Invitation-only breakfasts and dinners
• Sponsored thought-leadership forums

You will work closely with CEOs, regional heads, CIOs, market heads, private bankers, investment advisors, family office principals and other senior decision makers.

Events should be designed around genuine industry issues and commercial opportunities, rather than simply creating conference agendas.

3. Industry Network

You should already have relationships with senior practitioners across:

• Global and regional private banks
• Independent wealth managers
• Multi-family offices
• Single-family offices
• Asset managers
• Investment platforms
• Wealth technology providers
• Private markets firms
• Fund selectors
• CIOs and investment professionals
• Senior relationship managers
• Industry associations and professional networks

Your network should directly contribute to:

speakers + judges + delegates + submissions + sponsors + commercial partnerships + intelligence.

4. Commercial Growth

This is a highly commercial role.

You will work closely with the commercial team to develop revenue from:

• Event sponsorship
• Exhibition and partnership packages
• Awards participation and winner packages
• Thought leadership
• Executive roundtables
• Bespoke forums
• Strategic partnerships
• Data and intelligence opportunities
• New event formats and franchises

You will be expected to identify opportunities, shape propositions and help convert senior relationships into commercial partnerships.

5. Event Portfolio Strategy

Develop a multi-year events strategy for Global Private Banker.

This should establish a clear hierarchy:

FLAGSHIP

Large-scale Global Private Banker summits capable of becoming the defining annual gathering for a market.

SPECIALIST

Focused events around areas such as alternatives, private markets, CIO strategy, family offices, digital wealth and next-generation wealth.

EXECUTIVE

High-value invitation-only dinners, breakfasts and leadership conversations involving small groups of senior practitioners.

This combination should allow GPB to build both scale and exclusivity.

IDEAL PROFILE

Ideally, you will have:

• 12–20+ years of experience in financial services media, intelligence, events, awards, research or a closely related environment
• A strong track record in private banking and wealth management
• A background with a bona fide and established financial services media, intelligence, research or events platform
• Experience working with senior executives at banks, asset managers, family offices and wealth managers
• A substantial existing industry network
• Experience building or scaling awards and/or event franchises
• Strong commercial and sponsorship experience
• Experience creating premium B2B events rather than purely logistical conferences
• Strong understanding of private wealth industry trends and senior decision makers
• Excellent executive communication and relationship-building skills
• The confidence and seniority to engage directly with CEOs, regional heads, CIOs and other senior practitioners

Experience within an established platform that has gone through a significant growth phase, expansion, transformation or new market launch would be particularly valuable.

LOCATION

Singapore preferred.

Hong Kong will also be considered for an exceptional candidate, particularly where they have an established network across Greater China and North Asia.

The role will involve regular travel across Asia and other key global wealth centres.
