We're growing our IT team at Business Media International (BMI). We are looking for a Junior Full Stack Software Engineer to help build and enhance our web applications, SaaS solutions, and internal systems. You'll work closely with our tech lead and stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality software that supports our business and customers.

What success looks like

• Develop clean, maintainable, and scalable applications.

• Deliver features on time while maintaining high code quality.

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Continuously learn and adopt best development practices.

• Use AI tools effectively to improve development productivity while understanding and validating the code produced.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP (CodeIgniter 4 & Laravel).

• Design and optimise MySQL databases.

• Build responsive user interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Up to 2 years of experience.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

• A willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a team environment.
