Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technical Project Manager to lead and deliver large-scale data center migration and colocation initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete project lifecycle, including migration strategy, planning, execution, vendor selection, contract negotiations, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and financial oversight. This role requires strong expertise in data center infrastructure, networking, and enterprise systems, combined with proven project management capabilities to ensure seamless migration with minimal impact to business operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing colocation RFI/RFP processes, negotiating vendor agreements, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver complex infrastructure transformation programs.

Responsibilities:

Project Management & Delivery

• Lead end-to-end data center migration projects, from assessment and planning through execution and post-migration support.
• Develop migration strategies, project plans, schedules, resource plans, and governance frameworks.
• Coordinate infrastructure, network, application, security, and operations teams to ensure successful migration outcomes.
• Manage migration waves, cutover activities, testing, validation, and rollback planning.
• Track project milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Colocation & Vendor Management

• Manage the RFI/RFP process for colocation service providers.
• Evaluate vendor proposals based on technical capabilities, scalability, compliance, service levels, and commercial models.
• Conduct vendor assessments, site visits, and technical reviews.
• Recommend and manage relationships with selected colocation providers and strategic partners.

Contract & Commercial Management

• Review, negotiate, and manage colocation contracts, lease agreements, SLAs, pricing structures, and commercial terms.
• Work closely with procurement, finance, and legal teams to ensure contractual compliance and risk mitigation.
• Ensure contracts support future growth, operational flexibility, and cost optimization.

Risk & Stakeholder Management

• Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement mitigation plans.
• Manage executive reporting, steering committee updates, and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical delivery requirements.
• Facilitate decision-making and governance approvals throughout the project lifecycle.

Financial Management

• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
• Evaluate total cost of ownership (TCO), recurring and non-recurring costs, and cost optimization opportunities.
• Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to approved budgets.

Continuous Improvement

• Establish reporting dashboards and KPIs to monitor project performance and vendor compliance.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned.
• Drive process improvements and best practices for future infrastructure and data center initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing data center migration, infrastructure transformation, or colocation projects.
• Proven experience in vendor management, RFI/RFP processes, contract negotiations, and SLA governance.
• Strong background in enterprise infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud integration.
• Strong understanding of data center operations, facilities, power and cooling infrastructure, and network architecture.
• Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, and ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of industry standards and compliance frameworks, including ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
