Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced IT PMO (Project Management Office) professional to support the governance, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of IT projects and programs within the banking and financial services environment.
The IT PMO will work closely with Project Managers, Program Managers, Technology teams, Business stakeholders, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered according to established governance, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, monitoring, and governance of IT projects and programs.
- Maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and resource plans.
- Track project progress against approved scope, schedule, budget, and key milestones.
- Prepare regular project status reports, dashboards, management reports, and steering committee presentations.
- Consolidate project updates from multiple Project Managers and technology teams.
- Monitor and maintain RAID logs covering Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies.
- Track project risks and issues and follow up with respective stakeholders for mitigation and resolution.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, forecasts, and financial utilization.
- Manage project documentation, governance records, meeting minutes, action items, and approvals.
- Coordinate project governance meetings, including Project Steering Committees, Project Working Groups, and PMO reviews.
- Follow up on outstanding actions and ensure timely closure of project deliverables.
- Ensure projects comply with internal IT governance, PMO standards, policies, risk controls, audit requirements, and regulatory requirements.
- Support project initiation activities, including business cases, project charters, scope documentation, and project approval processes.
- Assist Project Managers with change requests, project issues, resource planning, and escalation processes.
- Coordinate with internal technology teams and external vendors to track project deliverables and dependencies.
- Develop and maintain PMO templates, processes, standards, and reporting frameworks.
- Provide portfolio-level reporting and management information to senior technology and business management.
- Support project audits and ensure appropriate project documentation and evidence are maintained.
- Identify opportunities to improve project governance, reporting, processes, and delivery efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Typically 3–7 years of experience in IT PMO, Project Management, Program Management, or Technology Governance.
- Experience working within a banking or financial services environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- Experience preparing project dashboards, status reports, management reports, and presentations.
- Strong knowledge of RAID management, project governance, risk management, issue tracking, and dependency management.
- Experience with project scheduling and tracking tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar tools.
- Good understanding of SDLC and IT project delivery.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and work with cross-functional technology teams.

Pay: RM4,335.53 - RM6,621.32 per month
