Position Overview: A Commis I is an entry-level position in a professional kitchen, focused on learning and assisting with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food. The Commis I works under the guidance of senior kitchen staff to develop culinary skills and gain experience in a variety of kitchen functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with basic food preparation and ingredient assembly.
• Help in the cooking process, including monitoring cooking times and temperatures.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
• Follow recipes and instructions from chefs to ensure dishes are prepared consistently.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations.
• Support senior kitchen staff in daily operations as required.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
